After a few dungeon runs, I've found a magical smith's hammer and a magical sledge hammer but I can't sell them anywhere. Could you make it so at least the blacksmith would want the tools of the trade?

Sure, blacksmiths, weaponsmiths, and tinkers will now buy both the weapon and tool versions of the smith's hammer and the sledge hammer. This change will be live after the next server reset and will be mentioned in the upcoming patch notes. Thank you for the suggestion!
