New PvM system with many new items, mark & recall areas in dungeons, cellar add-on for houses, three new bosses, and more.

Major Updates

-The reputation system has been added. There are currently four NPC reputation groups.

  • There are 5 levels of reputation: neutral, friendly, well-known, trusted, and member.
  • Each group has opposing creatures that will award reputation points for killing. A system message will be sent when you gain these points. The [togglerep command will show/hide these messages. After reaching the rank of trusted, you will no longer gain points in this way.
  • Reputation points are also earned through each group's quest giver NPC. There are crafting quests and killing quests. You may refuse quests until you are offered the type you want.
  • As you gain in reputation status, more items will become available for purchase through the group's reputation vendor. Many interesting items are available for both crafters and adventurers.
  • Use [rep to view your reputation status with each group. Note: until any points are gained with a group, nothing will appear.

-The map has been patched to allow for multiple instances of the Wrong Dungeon Peerless and the Druid boss Bodmahl to occur simultaneously.

-In most dungeons, at least one "pentagram of circumvention" can be found. Within a 5x5 area, you may mark and recall following normal restrictions. Gating in the area of the pentagram, or gating using a rune marked within a dungeon, is blocked. Notable exceptions to this are murderers (reds). These players will be unable to utilize the pentagrams or runes marked to them.

-The first version of the vendor search feature has been implemented.

  • Accessed through Player Vendor Listing books in each town bank.
  • Lists all player vendors and allows contents to be perused.
  • Additionally can filter for weapons and armor.
  • The filtered lists can be sorted by various properties.

Minor Updates

-A mini-boss has been added to Britain Graveyard.

  • Killing a sufficient number of the random undead spawn will cause the mini-boss to spawn.
  • A system message will be sent to all players in the graveyard, notifying that the mini-boss has spawned.
  • The mini-boss has a chance to drop hued and named bone armor.
  • Spawn that is attempted to be lured out of the graveyard will be fully healed and returned into the graveyard.
  • This is intended to be a low-level area.

-The Trinsic jungle is now home to a mini-champ spawn.

  • There are 5 locations around the jungle where crystal skull fragments drop from specific NPCs/creatures. The fragment drop rate is high, but not guaranteed. The fragments do not decay like peerless keys; they can be saved for a later time.
  • The 5 locations are points of interest, such as ruins or a graveyard.
  • After obtaining the 5 fragments, double click one and the crystal skull will be formed.
  • The crystal skull is double clicked in the ruined house toward the center of the jungle. It will be destroyed and a temporary moongate will open, leading to the mini-champ area. Entering the area will activate the mini-champ spawn.
  • Anyone can enter the moongate and anyone can open a moongate at any point in time, meaning it will be possible to find other players already in the mini-champ area.
  • Besides spawn, there is an ankh and a static moongate leading to back to Trinsic in the mini-champ area.
  • The boss has a low chance to drop 1 of 7 reward items and will always drop a quest item to the greatest damage dealing player.

-A mini-champ has also been added to the Fire Temple on Fire Island.

  • This is an overworld spawn and the champ spawn creatures as well as the boss cannot be lured away.
  • Spawn that is lured to the exit will be teleported back into the area and healed.
  • There are 3 waves of creatures before the boss is spawned. After the first wave, if the spawn is abandoned for longer than 20 minutes, it will be wiped and have a delay before restarting.
  • Unlike the Trinsic jungle mini-champ, this one is on a timer and may not be active when visited.
  • Tamers beware! The boss has an ability that lowers pet loyalty. Bring a stockpile of food.
  • The boss has a low chance to drop 1 of 7 reward items and will always drop a quest item to the greatest damage dealing player.

-Points are now awarded in Buccaneer's Den for doing the most damage to slain players.

  • These points are spent on a vendor stone in front of The Pirate's Plunder tavern in Buccaneer's Den.
  • Items on the stone will be cosmetic, titles, or novelty type items.
  • Suggestions are welcome for new items to add.

-Follower NPCs must dismount before they are able to be roomed in an inn.

-Pet goats will eat shoes. This restores loyalty just like its normal preferred food type. A pet goat will eat shoes given from either its master or any players friended to it. A goat makes a great companion for those training fishing!

-A new breed of horse, the charger, is now found on Fire Island (where Hythloth is found).

  • They are aggressive and will need to be subdued before taming.
  • Barding for chargers is able to be crafted by smiths and requires a kit obtained from the Minoc Metalworkers reputation vendor. It is available to those at the trusted level.

-After killing a blue player, the offending player is now notified both if the murder was reported or if the victim opted to not report.

-Arch cure removes strangle's effect.

-Only one revenant (vengeful spirit spell) can be summoned on a player at a time. The damage dealt to players has been reduced.

-Player and pet ghosts no longer block recall.

-Cellar add-ons for houses are available for gold on the doubloon stones.

  • Cellar add-ons add an additional floor, in the shape of your house, beneath your house. Items can be locked down and deeded items can be placed in cellars.
  • Six floor types available for the cellar floor. Walls are not placed with a cellar deed, only a floor.
  • The deed is used on the first floor of a house. It places a cellar door where targeted. The direction/appearance of the cellar door can be changed by single clicking it and selecting "Next" on its context menu. Additionally, security level can be set, like any other house door.
  • The cellar deeds are classified by house size. A small cellar deed cannot be applied to a large house.
  • To remove a cellar, use an axe on the cellar door. A window will pop up, confirming that you wish to demolish the cellar. Any items locked down or placed deeded items will be added to the moving crate. Any loose items below the house decay normally.
  • A full list of house sizes is available on the wiki.
