Quite a few system changes in this publish. Some will affect PvM, like power hour, increased dungeon skill gains, and dungeon moongates. Others look to adjust the consequences for rampant player killing and griefing behavior.

Major Updates

-Skills gain at a 300% rate in the anti-virtue dungeons and several others as well. Exceptions include Britain Sewers and Trinsic Cave/Passage to Delucia.

-Power Hour has been implemented as a command. By saying "powerhour" or using the commands [PowerHour or [PH, you will see a gump detailing whether you can start it now, how much time you have left, or when you can start your next power hour. Skills will gain at a 200% rate and it will stack with the dungeon bonus. A potion is available for gold on the doubloon stones that will allow you to start your power hour immediately, or will extend it by an additional hour if you are currently in one.

-Dungeon moongates have been placed within many of the dungeons. These will appear as a dark colored moongate and will take you to Britain, unless you are a faction member. In that case, it will take you to the town in which you are a citizen. Murderers and criminals are unable to use these moongates.

-A citizenship system has been implemented. You are able to become a citizen of one of 15 towns. To do so, say "I wish to become a citizen" within the borders of your desired town.

  • After becoming a citizen, you cannot change your citizenship status for 7 days. Once that period has passed, say "I wish to revoke my citizenship".
  • Dungeon moongates will take faction members to their town of citizenship.
  • As a citizen, if you are murdered, you have the option to place up to 3000 gold as a bounty on the murderer in your town of residence.
  • Anyone with an outstanding bounty will be unable to use the vendors in that particular town until the bounty is settled.
  • Bounties can be paid at magistrates in Britain, Yew, Trinsic, Nujel'm, or the lawyer in Buccaneer's Den by saying "pay bounties".
  • Town guards will warn players with less than 1000 gold in bounty in that particular town and will attack them on sight if their bounty goes higher.
  • Citizens of Buccaneer's Den cannot give bounties and thus these points do not apply there.

-Changes to consequences as a murderer:

  • Blue players that have slain a murderer are able to turn the red's head in to a Virtue Guard. If the murderer has a bounty of any amount, they will receive temporary stat loss similar to that in Factions.

-The client has been updated with some changes, including replacing much of the music with earlier versions. Area transitions such as leaving town or leaving a dungeon will cause "wilderness" music to play.

Minor Updates

-Spawns have been modified/increased in dungeons Despise and Shame.

-A new type of public bulletin board has been added to some taverns and inns. These will have postings made by escortable NPCs and by prisoner NPCs. Each NPC will only post to one board, so check around if a job board is empty.

-The bounty boards have been adjusted to work with the town citizenship system.

  • The total bounty (sum of each individual town bounty) for a player will be shown on the bounty board.
  • Blue players with 5000+ gold in total bounty are freely attackable at all times.
  • Paying off your bounty in part, or in full, at a magistrate or lawyer will update the bounty boards. These NPCs are found in Britain, Yew, Trinsic, Nujel'm, and Buccaneer's Den.
  • Murderers should consider paying off their bounty as well. If their severed head is turned into a Virtue Guard by their killer, and they have a bounty, they will receive temporary stat loss similar to the Factions penalty.

-Attacking pets/controlled summons or trying to dispel controlled summons is treated as an aggressive action on the control master.

-A system message will be sent notifying pet deaths.

-NPC vendors will now withdraw from your bank for small amounts, if you are not carrying any gold.

-The mounted animation has been corrected when throwing a clod of dirt.

-Player character names must be unique. You will be given a gump to rename your character if the name is already taken.

-A fix has been implemented for situations where monsters are bunched up at a doorway. Primary example is the spawn lured to the entrance of Destard.

-New items on the doubloon stones. Items now are priced by doubloons, gold, or a combination of both.
