Major Updates

-The weapons and armor are set to mimic the armor rating (AR) system.

  • All armor solely gives physical resistance.
  • Type of armor - platemail is more defensive than leather armor.
  • Piece of armor matters - a tunic gives more defense than gloves.
  • Weapons only do physical damage.

-Resisting spells is the sole method to increase elemental resistances.

  • Resistance = (Resisting Spells skill) / 2

-Runics were removed. Different materials generally impart different bonuses.

  • BOD system is suspended temporarily while rewards are reworked.

-The first portion of the Druid Questline is in the town center of Yew.

  • Speak to Gerald to begin the quest.
  • The Arch Druid boss is intended for two experienced players.
  • Further legs of the quest are in development.

Minor Updates

-Released animals will be non-aggressive.

-A veterinarian in Britain resurrects the ghosts of bonded pets, for a fee.

-Spirit speak works similarly to both the modern and pre-AOS functions.

  • Still channels energy when used.
  • Used to speak to ghosts. While active, it has a buff bar icon.

-8th circle summon times received a small reduction.

-Pain spike and strangle cast delays increased by 1 second.

-Harmful necromancy spells cause weapons to unequip.

  • Exceptions: animate dead, curse weapon, shape changing, summon familiar.

-Lowered the required necromancy skill level to 88 for vampiric embrace.

-Necromancy crafted pets cannot be transferred.

-Weapons with spell charges list the spell name and charges remaining.

-The player credited for killing players with a bounty will get a message.

  • Guild members will not be notified of each others' bounties.

-To speak to various NPCs, say their name to get their attention.

-Messages from cheese forms, when making cheese, are not sent to everyone in area.

-New items on the KPS: house teleporter engraving tool and a robe.

-Exceptional house teleporter deeds from the KPS were modified.

  • No change if you own both houses.
  • In a house you do not own, you must be a friend or co-owner.
  • The owner must be present and is sent a window to grant permission to the placer.
  • The owner then will need to adjust the teleporter's securtiy setting.
  • Either the owner or the placer can re-deed the teleporter.
  • The deed will be returned to the original placer, either in their bank or backpack.

-Houses' yards cannot overlap with roads.

  • Yard tool cannot place on oceans/rivers.
